NOTE: To much information from this trailer. Although I know the first movie was good.
Its reviews are significantly weaker, so it likely won’t live up to its predecessor, but it should at least open faster than its predecessor’s first wide weekend.
The film’s reviews are in the overall positive level, but its CinemaScore is only a B, which isn’t good for this type of film.
That sequel MIGHT go direct-to-video, on the other hand.

NOTE: Its unique as a gay’s story, but there’s something missing from this trailer. I guess, its about chemistry between he and his lover’s wife.

A French film about a messy divorce and the son stuck in the middle. The reviews are amazing and French films do have a better shot at box office success than most other foreign-language films do.

Wo Bi Shi Yao Shen (2018) aka DYING TO SURVIVE opened in its native China with a stunning $152.73 million during its opening weekend for a nine-day debut of $201.56 million—enough for it to easily win the weekend at the international box office.
Dying to Survive remained in first place, both in its Native China and on the international chart. It earned $69.29 million over the weekend for a total of $367.40 million after two full weeks of release.
